I used to keep a pen and paper at my bedside to write down my dreams from the previous night. Dreams are fun and interesting and tell us a lot about what's going on with us. And this dream is very inspirational!

Often, when we look for meaning in dreams, we take each image and ask what does it mean to me?
For example, the scientists digging for dinosaur bones could be a picture of those of us here finding, uploading and catalogueing (sp?) TV artifacts. And later on in that sentence where the dinosaur bones turn to human bones could symbolize a growing awareness of how very important this work is. In Ecclesiastes, it says "...that which has been is that which will be, and that which has been done is that which will be done". Ecc. 1:9. In other words, know the past: know the future. It goes on to say "there is nothing new under the sun".

The next image, a skeleton head with a strawberry in it's mouth, shows an understanding of something new and fresh and timely inside of something that appears to be old and dead as dry bones (old kinescope imagery, perhaps?). Every time we post something here, we display fresh, ripe fruit in the form of an old TV show. In reality, people are blessed by the warmth and clarity of these old TV shows. After all, how many times do we hear people here complaining, and rightfully so, about the crap that is modern day television. That's why I like to point out things that I think may be important to viewers when I review. Sort of like advertising.

The next bit about Obama seems like a warning to me. Especially when you see the Prince gathering up the bones to take them to "police headquarters" so that he can crush them. I think you're afraid that someday these treasures that are gathered here will be taken away, and in fact, perhaps that may well happen, given the nature of the new political regime here in the U.S. That would explain why it wasn't pleasant to you.

That last statement that you made answers one of the other big questions when looking for meaning in dreams. How did it make you feel? And why? Happy, sad, confused?

You may, of course, discount everything or anything I've said if you feel it doesn't help you, or doesn't apply. After all, sometimes dreams are greatly influenced by the pepperoni pizza and 1/2 gallon of ice cream that you ate just before you went to bed! But this dream as you told it shows an interesting continuity and flow, to say the least!

Thanks for sharing,

TM

Interesting. It should be noted the character, a Prince, was hinted at in the dream as having killed the person whose bones the policemen had just found. For context, in the cartoon "Dragon Ball Z", Prince Vegeta is protrayed as a ruthless murderer who later joins the side of good, but still remains cruel to the people around him.

Also of note, is that previously in the dream, there was a collage of building being torn down, including a former resturant that actually does exist near where I live, a incompleted skycraper which consists purely of a girders, and a victorian era building. Even earlier in the dream, my Sega Saturn had been exposed to poison produced by rodents at my school, and was left out in the rain.

And to make my dream even more confusing, even earlier in the dream, my very own computer at the school had been contaminatic with an old virus which had been laying dormant for some time.
